Yesterday we joined our neighbours to watch their daughter's first baseball game. She did fantastic going 2 for 3 at bat and standing firm on both 1st and 2nd base. Joe loved watching his friend play, and even took up trying to learn a little himself.

Last night I snuck out of work at 5 and we headed to the beach to meet up with Christopher, Shannon, and Tiffany. Oh man ... sunshine!!!! And relaxation!!!

The kids and their endless energy kept us running up and down the beach looking for shells, chasing birds, and all those other wonderful beach things. Our dinner picnic was great, and we followed it up with ice cream treats. (We must do this again)

Then Ingrid arrived later that night, so the fun should last all weekend.

Friendships are so important

Notes for the record: On Wednesday, Owen rolled over - front to back - in his crib, and then repeated the feat last night.

Ok so we have a new phone number, as of Thursday the 13th we are switching our phone and internet services to Verizon. For those of you who have put up with our phone calls being drop or only hearing every other word, you should be very happy. Unfortunately we are unable to keep our same phone number.

If you did not get our email, please IM or email us and we will pass it along. (Our old number will continue to work through the 13th)

So, it was about time that our family got out of dodge and enjoyed a little time together. And what better a place to bond than the place that shots you to the stars.

Well, it also seems that the gift Joe and Owen gave me for my birthday inspired a new passion in them ... "Man ... walk ... moon ... rocket ... blast-off ... Joe ride" has become a constant phase over the last couple weeks ... Thanks Tom!

So to further treat our budding rocketman ... it was off to Kennedy.

If all goes well, maybe we can catch a launch soon, but we will be back. We had WAY TO MUCH FUN!

What was really interesting was to see how much the kids have grown. Joe was completely involved with the entire experience. He sat interested through the movies, played with the interactive toys, and gazed with wonder at the sites all around. Owen, well, he was playful and curious along with the rest of us. Then at dinner we would sit down and have full conversations and hear the dreams that are jumping through their little heads. They continue to amaze us with what they put together, what they connect, and what they remember.

So, my birthday was a real treat ... a day off from the craziness that is a product release. Since then a week has passed and it is time for me to pass the torch on to Melissa - happy birthday dear. Now, I know. The blog has been really lacking of late. Work has been nuts as I try and get my baby out into the real world, it has been a lot of work from a lot of people - but it is worth it. The company has a video promotion up on their website for those curious. And hey ... if you know of any software engineers looking for a job ;-)
